The 25 th International Open Chess Tournament “Panevezys Open 2012″
International chess tournament “Panevezys OPEN” in 2012 will take place in the 25th time.
The annual international chess competition in Panevezys started by former director of chess club of Panevezys the Master of Sports Algimantas Chesnauskas in 1988.
Since 2001 Tournaments are organized by the director of Panevezys chess club Arvydas Baltrunas.
Since the 2002 tournaments ”Panevezys OPEN” are registered and counted by FIDE (World Chess Federation) and the participants whose have not yet rated ELO (international rating) can achieve it, and having – can improve it.
